The NaturesHead in 3 comfort versions with foot crank, alternatively with lever arm or classic with spider handle.
The first two variants are ideal for people with restricted mobility. The NaturesHead Composting toilet is ready for use immediately after filling in the coconut fibers.
The NaturesHead composting toilet with foot crank agitator function can be comfortably operated with the foot. You save bending down to operate the spider handle. Please note that the crank can only be turned in one direction and can therefore not be attached to the other side. The foot crank is located on the right side, seen from the front.
Alternatively you can order the NaturesHead with lever arm. This version also makes it easy to operate the agitator.
The classic version with Spider-Handle agitator is operated by hand. The big advantage of this version is the possibility to choose the position of the spider-handle. This can be ordered right or left.
In all variants the crank is supported by plastic plain bearing sleeves.
The composting toilet was developed by two professional sailors who needed a stable toilet that would work reliably at sea. The challenge was to build a toilet that would not spill or leak in heavy seas. The NaturesHead was born. It is not only ideal for boats/yachts, but also for expedition vehicles, but it can be used everywhere, for example in motor homes, caravans or tiny houses. Due to its compact design it fits in tight spaces. The PE plastic feels very comfortable, robust and stable. A large toilet seat ensures sufficient comfort.
The NaturesHead not only impresses with its separation possibility, but is also equipped with a composting function. The solid matter is stirred under the coconut fibers with the help of the agitator and moisture is absorbed. Finally, aeration allows the last remaining moisture to escape so that the mass is neither too moist nor too dry. Effective microorganisms now multiply in it and do their work. They decompose the mass and start composting. The solids container is designed for about 60-80 sessions.
The composting toilet is optimal for women, because the urine is simply drained forward through the tight solids flap. It is recommended to empty the urine every 2-3 days.

First a softened coconut fiber brick is placed in the solids container. After each session, the foot crank or lever arm inside the solids container is used to operate an agitator to stir the fresh solids into the pre-composted solids. Odors are thus prevented.
An integrated urine separator insert ensures the separation of liquid and solid precipitates. The flap to the solids container prevents urine from entering and at the same time ensures that the urine is discharged into the urine canister. Women in particular appreciate this. The transparent urine canister sits firmly fixed in front of the toilet so that nothing wobbles here. Ideal when the toilet has to withstand a lot of movement, for example in an expedition vehicle. In addition, you are always informed about the fill level. Every 2-3 days the urine should be emptied. Alternatively an external tank can be connected via a hose.
All parts can be easily cleaned with a vinegar or lemon solution (1:10) and a soft cloth.
Each NaturesHead composting toilet comes with a ventilation hose, built-in fan (12V), mounting brackets for easy attachment, screws, spray bottle for cleaning and a coconut tile for immediate use.
Note: Coco bricks are required for preparation, so that you can stir in your excrement and quickly start composting.
Important note: For the model "Foot crank" and "Lever arm" the crank cannot be changed to the other side.
If the crank, seen from the front, is needed on the left side, please order the NaturesHead with Spider Handle.

How long must the fan, the AirHead, run?
If the toilet is in continuous use, the manufacturer recommends that the fan be run without interruption.
Is the NaturesHead also suitable for wet rooms?
Yes, the composting toilet is completely made of plastic and stainless steel, so it has no problems with water. But please remember to seal the screw holes well so that no water can get into the holes. It can also be advantageous to drill a few holes in the urine holder so that water can run off.
How do I clean the toilet?
Please use a vinegar or lemon solution (1:10) and a soft cloth or toilet paper for cleaning. The bowl can be sprayed with the solution and wiped clean. To remove urine scale, a little vinegar essence, hot water and shake can dissolve everything.
We recommend not to clean the solid container, because the remaining adhesions contain the wonderful microorganisms and act as "compost starter".
Is the toilet suitable for children? Is there anything I need to consider?
The toilet can be used by many children without difficulty. They understand quite quickly how it works. A child seat is not necessary.
Are there any special features for NaturesHead during female menstruation? Where to put the blood?
You don't have to change here compared to the standard toilet. All procedures remain the same. Tampons or sanitary towels should be disposed of in the trash can, because composting here takes a long time and under certain circumstances something can get caught in the agitator. Any remaining blood from the urine drain can be wiped off with a little vinegar/lemon solution.
Blood from menstrual cups can be disposed of in the solids container.
Can vegetable waste be disposed of in the compost toilet?
We advise against it, because it might attract insects. It also slows down the whole composting process.
