Self construction Kit for dry composting toilet with tools for immediate assembly

Application scope

With this practical kit, you can build a dry composting toilet yourself in no time at all, the enclosed instructions will help you do so. The dry composting toilet kit is made of alder plywood from sustainable forestry. You will experience the comfort of a normal toilet. The interior parts, such as the separator insert, urine canister and solid tank are made of durable plastic.

The kit is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as mobile homes, summer houses, tiny houses or boats. Basically everywhere where you want to install a dry separation toilet. The main thing is that it is dry and at ground level.

Handling

The delivered kit including assembly material is assembled and ready for use in just a few steps. The wood is suitable for surface treatment, so that you can give free rein to your creativity in the design. After the housing is mounted, the urine and solids container can be inserted. The Urine separator insert is embedded in the housing and is screwed tight. The toilet seat ensures that the composting toilet is sealed.

We recommend the use of compostable bags for the solids container, this simplifies disposal. The urine container must be emptied every 3-4 days, the solids container every 5-10 days. Unlike chemical toilets, you can use normal toilet paper. A fan is not included. The drying of the solids is achieved exclusively with litter. You can use long-fiber small animal litter or the special litter for compost toilets from our accessories.

Which accessories are recommended?

FAQ

Does the TROBOLO® TeraBlœm contain a hose?

No, there is no hose included. However, you can get a standard hose from the hardware store and install it. This should have an inner diameter of 32 mm. However, a hose is not absolutely necessary for the function

What material is the separator insert made of?

The TROBOLO® toilet separator insert is made of polypropylene by injection moulding.

Can the TeraBloem be used in a mobile home?

In principle, the TROBOLO® kit can also be used in a motor home, but safety measures must be taken to secure the containers. The urine container must either be raised slightly so that the separating insert projects into it and thus stabilizes it. Alternatively, small strips around the container can also stabilize it. It is important that they do not slip around while driving. As the TROBOLO® TeraBlœm is equipped with a wooden casing, it is not waterproof. We would therefore advise against installation in the wet room.
